JediTACC Posted September 21, 2003 Share Posted September 21, 2003 I was trying to make JA run better on my computer (1.1 ghz, ATI Radeon 8500LE 128 meg) and I stumbled upon two thngs.... One: defrag your hard drive! It may not give you a 20 fps boost, but things like loading go a little faster (there is a small speed boost in the game.) Two: set you screen resoultion higher than what you think. It seems backwards and illogical , but eariler Radeons ( not sure about the 9000's and above) preformed better at higher resolutions (I think http://pc.ign.com might have a review stating this). The highest fps I would get with shaders off was only about 15-20 fps @ 800X600 . I bumped it up to 1280X1024, volia, I was averaging 45-60 fps with shaders on!
