Can one start a new SP game with a Light Staff?

I'd like to have some fun and start off with my light-staff from moment the shuttle crashes on Yavin 4. How can I enable this staff to be selectable in the character creation or at least turn my single blade sabre into the staff once in-game. (I'd prefer the former of the two options though)

To get a lighstaff straightaway, type the following into the console:

 

saber dual_5; sabercolor 1 green blue

 

Replace the colors with whatever color you want for your own staff. Also you can select the hilt version, by relpacing "dual_5" with "dual_1" or dual_2" or "dual_3", and so forth.

You have to use cheats to get the staff saber.

 

type devmapall in console.

then type saber dual_x <x = 1-5 for different saber hilts>

 

to change colors for saber type in sabercolor 1 <color> <color>

So there is no way to "unlock" the two-sabres or staff? Thanks for the codes to "Cheat" the staff into the game though.
