DadMad Posted September 26, 2003 Share Posted September 26, 2003 Hi there i' ve tried to bring up snow in my new JA mp map, because raven shows its possible from now on... (oh and it was a good idea to use clouds and a diagonal direction in the snow.efx ) ok so ive decompiled the hoth ctf map and want to learn how they did this... first thing i noticed was the fx_snow entity... so i add it to my entity list... but when i add it to my map the snoweffect was everywhere, inside and outside... So i looked again in the ctf map file... and this time i noticed a brush with an inside texture, whole over the bunker and an weatherzone brush... but the interesting part, this brush was an entity, a misc_weather_zone entity... how comes this? (notice: i've made my own inside and weatherzone textures, because they where missing in the mapextras.pk3) imho its not possible to give an normal brush the misc_ classname, so how does this works? I copied the whole brush in my map, also i add an inside brush... but the funny thing - i get a "leaked" error and the snow was everywhere again... so how is this working now? is there a special form of this entity i have to write in the mpentities.def file? i now here is a user working @ Raven, could u plz help me or everyone else who knows this? i know i'm not so good in english Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
