Wan Locan
Do i need 2 copies of JA to set up a server and play on it? Both on a LAN and hooked up to the DSL line?
Kurgan
Each computer running a server or launching the game to join needs a full legal copy of JA (and the cd in the drive, though for MP it can be a cloned cd of a legal original). To join a server you launched on the same computer, you only need one copy of JA installed and one cd in the drive of course. ; )
Wan Locan
So i can clone a cd and use it to play off of and use the real CD to start the server on anther computer on the LAN. Right?
Kurgan
Theoretically, yes.
aValanche
Yeah cloning it should work- I think that's what me and my bro did with JO when we played together on servers (save time, etc). It's nice that JA has no CD key bec I hate them. Half of the games with CD keys (BF1942) won't let us play online at the same time. I think it's ridiculous! We bought it once, why buy it again for use in the same household? Whereas other CD-key games like EliteForce, let us play on the same server even. There's a fine line between protecting your software and just being plain greedy.
