It is a way for players to get a little bit more involved with the storyline of the game. Here is a link for further discussion: theme parks I have completed the rebel and jabba theme parks. The rewards aren't great in terms of items received, but the dev's might make completing these missions more appealing to players in the future. And who knows, they might even have something to do with unlocking your FS slot. If anything else, you get a feeling of personal achievement, and some time away from the normal hack&slash style of play. Well worth it, in this player's opinion.
