unravled Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Can you make a shader that will allow you to shoot through the "holes" in the grate?
lassev Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 I very much doubt that. However, you can make the grate shader simply nonsolid, and then cover the grate brush in Radiant with another brush textured with the ordinary clip. That allows the player to shoot through the grate, but not crawl though it. If the holes are big and scarce, you could of course use thin physics clip brushes to make the shooting through the holes more exact...
unravled Posted October 18, 2003 Author Posted October 18, 2003 the physics_clip idea worked. forgot about that. my holes are kind of a strange shape, but i v-edited some simple patch meshes and that will be good enough. Thanks
