slyde202
I recently updated to the new version and although single player works as before, MP freezes on the Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy splash screen. I uninstalled JA, reinstalled and the MP loaded but again when I installed the patch the system froze. I would appreciate any help.....Thanx Slyde

Krispies
Firewall possibly if you got one.... If this is the case, make sure the new jamp.exe is given permission to access the net.
slyde202
Nope never even gets as far as the menu (play, profile, etc.). Tried to manually put JA as a pass program in zonealarm and still locked.
Krispies
It sounds like you have the same problem I was experiencing. I too have Zone Alarm and found that it wouldn't allow me to manually give jamp.exe internet/server permissions. Because of this, Zone Alarm would prevent it to load into the main MP menu and just stay on the 'splash' screen. I had to keep pressing the 'windows' button on my keyboard right after I launched jamp.exe so that I could get back onto my desktop before it locked up. Otherwise I had to reboot. After a few seconds, Zone Alarm pops-up a prompt asking if I wanted to give it internet or server rights. Once set from there, it was good to go.
