Chuahtemoc
Hiya Kurgan. Sorry I haven't been able to post anything for like the past two months. I've been busy with school and I know I've promised more JK:A Stratz but I'm just not getting the real feel for games like Siege. I'm addicted to siege now, namely on Hoth and on Desert. Korriban isn't so hot, though. Here's to start: Single Saber Offenses You're facing big time challenges against someone with dual sabers, but a single saber has the advantage over a two-handed saber user. When attacking a dual saber user, I like to stay in medium style. That way, if he hangs a bit in the air, I can choose to Force Pull + Stab him to get a deft kill, or I can tap my Mouse3 and attack him with a strong, sweeping blow. If need be, I can pop back out to fast style to counter his quick attacks (remember, all dual saber users tend to be obnoxiously fast). One of the perks of having only one saber in your hand is the ability to Force pull/push while attacking or running (well, not really, but it's a LOT faster than with dual sabers where you have to stop moving entirley). On the other hand, you can't take the time to force push as much against a two-handed saberist, considering most of their attacks are spins> Personally, I tend to get the brunt of the attack not on the front end of the two-handed saber, but when they spin around. Maybe that's just my fault . While some of the old Outcast strats have become obsolete against the tightened defenses, some new ones incorporate walls... Running, Jumping, Fliping, and more You know, run parellel to the wall, then either flip sideways (Left/Right + Jump) or even forward (Diagonal front left/right) into the oncoming Enemy's attack. It kind of throws the other jedi off guard when you use a wall for a normal mode of transportation, but it's fun, so who's to blame? If you pull up early and jump off forward correctly, you can pull one of those big old lunge-instakill maneuvers (strong style only, of course). The equation: Run along wall + (Diagonal +Jump) + Forward + Attack Side Roll wall Attack JA tends to give you a lot of "hang-off" areas where one direction is a solid wall and the other is a straight drop, and you're on the three-foot-wide walkway in between. Irritatiing, isnt it? I also tend to find myself fighting the worst fights there, and I mean like desperate flag capture fights and so on. SO I developed this: Strafe perpendicular to the wall and side flip off of it (Towards the wall + Jump), then the second you land, tap Crouch+The direction of the wall simultaneously. If pulled off correctly, you should side flip off the wall, land in a crouch, and roll back towards the wall. Once crouched at the wall again, your enemy will usually expect you to be where you landed earlier. I've seen countless people do lunge attacks at my landing point, only to die when I pull a quick and easy Force Pull+Stab after they've left their flank wide open. This is one of those strategies that makes sense both in words and in the game. Kurgan, I'll give ya more later, alright? and I like the new sections for JA, btw
