Guest Carenrd Posted May 26, 2001 Posted May 26, 2001 I am so frustrated. No matter what I try I cannot shoot the window out. I have tried from every angle. I have even went back to a previous place that I saved and waited till Indy talked and tried to move slightly to the right. I just can't seem to shoot the window. Where do you need to stand and what gun do you need to use? Can anyone help????
nd Posted May 26, 2001 Posted May 26, 2001 If you really can't come over this point no matter what you try and you're playing the PC version you can download a savegame file from my ftp server. Get the shambala-window-shot savegame file at ftp://ftp.soulianis.com/archive/indy/ - I provide it as original (.nds) and zipped (.zip) variant. The .zip variant requires WinZip or pkunzip but is much smaller and saves you some download time. Note that you require the Update 1.2 for this savegame file. If you don't have it, go get it at ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/J3DUpdate1.2.exe - you'll get an EXE file which you simply double-click, it installs itself. Good luck!

It's the window on the outside wall (you'll be climbing through it after shimmying along the frozen OUTSIDE wall), so it's well to the right of where Indy is standing. You'll have to turn Indy's body before you aim.
Guest Carenrd Posted May 29, 2001 Posted May 29, 2001 Yes I am sure of which window I need to shoot at. I have turned Indy every which way I can and moved him every which way I can. I will just have to play with it until I get it taken care of.

What if you go back to the top of the clock tower where the spinning statue is, climb the ladder and try to shoot the window from the roof using the rifle? This might work, though I didn't verify that.
Guest Carenrd Posted June 1, 2001 Posted June 1, 2001 I did try that suggestion but was unable to shoot that window. I was able to shoot the other window (the one down the hall in the library). Oh well back to the drawing board.
Guest fiero84 Posted June 18, 2001 Posted June 18, 2001 I had the same problem. But you can shoot out that window. Keep firing, walk fwd/backwards, angle left/right, hug the wall..There will be a position that will get that window. It took me quite a while, but I did blast it. You will get it eventually-keep firing.
