Guest DarthMaulUK
Star Wars Galaxies is not the most stable game in the world. Once a new patch is released, this can, sometimes cause your system to crash and despite Sonys best efforts at blaming your PC it might not be. However, if you have loaded Galaxies for the first time and you are having crash problems or any kind of problems, please make sure you read below. Always check the following: 1) Ensure that your PC meets the System requirements for the game. You must have at least 256 MB ram, Direct x 9 or higher around 1ghz chip PC (Intel/AMD) and, this is the important part... at least a 32 MB graphics card that supports 3D. 2) If all of the above is fine... your next step is to ensure that all your device drivers are fully up to date. This does NOT include any Windows Updates as this doesn't effect most hardwear. 3) Most importantly, check that your graphics card drivers are fully upto date. This is the most common cause of game crashes and problems. Drivers are normally updated every 6 months but it is always worth checking every 2-3 months, just incase. 4) Sometimes the route cause can be elsewhere. Make sure that you have nothing running in the background, like MSN, scanners, printers, faxes or anything that might cause poor old Galaxies to stop. Also, you might need to tweak certain settings on your Graphics card to lower the resolution or change graphical settings until it works. Unlike consoles, all PCs are different and its very tricky to find out what can cause problems and with Galaxies being so full of bugs, doesn't help. Try the above. If theres still problems, post back here and i will do my best to help. DMUK
