diabolousorod
has anyone stopped to think that technology can bottom out? in our own future technology will bottom out at some point and then, it'll be maybe 20,000 years before another signifigant advancement can be made. most of the technology we have today is based on early 20th century tech,we just make small improvments to old ideas, what happens when you can't make small improvements anymore? another problem i have is that a friend of mine and myself got onto an argument about ep1-3 and the original trilogy, he said that it was stupid that all the better stuff existed before the empire, i told him to get an imagination think of cuba 50 years ago cuba was an advanced north american nation now through sanctions all they have is junk there driving rusted 55 cadillacs and rebuilding old radios and computers are basically unheard of. so the better stuff exists before and you can only rebuild so much, i think that the average north american/european is so used to constant improvement that they don't have the imagination or the concept of stagnation look at tribes around the world where nothing has changed in 10,000 years they don't expect the newer better model of the same old **** every 6 months

Sunslayer
It actually IS too advaneced, because comparing tot eh technology in the Tales of the Jedi comics in the same era, it looks a bit new. But the droids look much older, ships look less complex, and small other details. But after civilization has been going for 21,000 years (going from KOTOR period), you start to have trouble making technological advancements, because you already have so much! But 5000 years before the trilogy jedi had cords going from their lightsaber to a battery pack on their belt. And 5000 before, they didn't have glass for buttons lights, and dials, but jagged crystals. It should, to be accurate in KOTOR, look like Romans with technology that works like normal but is very crude in appearance - jagged, unbalanced, etc. The ships in Tales of the Jei can even be seen with a sort of fabric sail on them as a wing! That's probably to help in atmosphere, though...
