Chief Wiggum
Evening ladies and gents, inept newbie here......... Right, quick query. I've made it to Malak. I've pounded him for a while until he uses those jedi-thingies to replenish himself. I've realised that I have to take out the rest of the fallen jedi in order to stop him regenerating again. The only problem is I can't actually seem to hurt them. I'm a light-side jedi, and have neither force supression nor lightsabre throw. I can't hurt them with any of my offensive powers or my physical lightsabre prowess. Am I therefore utterly screwed? Is there no way to complete the game without beating the cheese out of Malak nine times? Or have i found a glitch in the game? Yours concernedly from England. Oh, utterly superb game by the way.............
eidospsogos
it's not really a glitch. you just did not choose your force powers wisely. it is quite possible to beat the crap out of him nine times. no big deal really. while he goes absorbing a jedi, you simply disengage and heal yourself. of course if you vested any points into drain life, you could drain them yourself. but if not just wait until he runs off to heal himself, and disengage and heal yourself. by now you should have heal. and if not, if you put enough points into treat injury a life support pack will do well over 100 restorative life points. Chief Wiggum
eidospsogos, You helpful little jawa, you Hmmm. That is indeed a bummer. Damn my overly-conservative application of force powers. Or I suppose I could load up an earlier saved game, and subsequently add differing force powers. But then that's really annoying, and time consuming as well. This game has taken up enough of my life as it is........... Ah well, should go and try to take him out the conservative way then..........
eidospsogos
i've got an easier solution. hop over to the holowan laboratories and there is a link to a character editor that will let you swap feats and force powers for other feats and powers. here's the link to the thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=120481 be sure and scroll all the way down to get the 1.1 version. and it may not work on any savegame after reaching the unknown world. just a heads up on that. it wouldn't let me in the savegame i had after reaching the unkown world.
