El Henko
How do I get inside the Sand people enclave on tatoine with the translating droid without getting killed or killing all of the sand people. I have sand people clothes and gaffi sticks but they just keep atacking me???
WickedClown
Put the clothes on (you can keep your weapons), go right to the enclave's entrance, enter it and run up to the guard there. He'll then start a dialogue and you have to tell HK to tell the guard you are a friend. He'll take you to the chief.
eidospsogos
yes, put the sand people clothing on yourself and any non-droid party members before entering the sand-people territory.(i always equipped the gaffi sticks as well myself) do not kill any of the sand-people before entring the enclave. they will not attack you as long as you do not talk to them. once you enter the enclave one will recognize you. then hk-47 will interupt and tell you that he actually communicated something. tell him to tell the sandperson that you apologize for being here and you want peace. that should do it. if you truly want peace be sure nto to open any of the baskets in the enclave as they will attack you if you do. but if you have returned with the moisture vaporators, and have attempted peace before then, you can do so without gaining ds points. just be prepared to have to fight every sandperson inside and outside the enclave.l
El Henko
the clothes are already on and the gaffi sticks are in hand. but i still get ambusehd and the turrets still shoot at me so i cant get to the enclave.
eidospsogos
well then something has gone wrong somewhere. if you have killed any sandperson after entering their territory then you will be attacked when entering the enclave. there is no way around that. so i guess you have found a bug, or something went wrong somewhere. you don't have the wookie in your party do you? other than that i'd say you've run across a bug and should either start an earlier savegame or take the ds points. El Henko
the first time i went inside the sandpeople area with the right clothes on i didnt get atacked. the i went back ancorhead and got HK 47. But now the sand people just keep atacking me when i go inside their teritory.
eidospsogos
if you go back into anchorhead with the clothing equipped that could cause a bug. as your not supposed to be able to wear the clothes in anchorhead and they should be automatically unequipped, leaving you in your underwear. this happened to me but, i just re-equipped them without any problems that i can remember. but my first time through i spoke to a sandperson outside the enclave, and had to fight him. so as soon as i went into the enclave thay all attacked without the chance of conversation. so i don't know what might be causing your bug. Quillan
Make sure your party does not include the wookie.
Skidz
When i try to enter the sand peoples enclave the game crashes and goes back to the title screen
tuskenguy
skidz, that is a problem with your computer, most likely video card related..try updating your drivers..can also be caused by your RAM being used or if you have exactly 1 GHz for your processor speed. eidospsogos
i already mentioned not having the wookie, right? yeah i did. that should really be pretty self-explanatory though. who would buy that. just some sandpeople, with their droid and their wookie. but wait they use jawa slaves, why wouldn't they use wookie slaves? points to ponder. Skidz
i have the latest drivers for my graphics card, and i know i cant be running out of RAM (916MB)
eidospsogos
uhhh.....how can you have 916 MB. maybe 1024 or 896....but 916? how the hell? and what is your video card? certain cards by Nvidia have been stated to be better off with older drivers than newer ones. Skidz
Sorry half asleep when writing that 916xxxxx kb = 896MB I have a ASUS GeForce 4 MX 420 64MB
eidospsogos
well then i can give you no good reason you're computer should be screwing up. sounds like a good system to me. nvidia did just release new detonator drivers on dec 9(?not sure the exact date, but it was towards the beginning-middle of dec). i use them for my quadro card(better game drivers and they will still do the design stuff) but i am pretty sure i read somewhere that the geforce 4 had some issues that could only be resolved by dropping back a few releases in drivers. check it out on both ends to be sure. as in check to see if you have the latest drivers, and if so check to see if you can get better results from using the older ones. ( think i heard around 52.13? maybe. don't know for sure. but check into it)
lukeiamyourdad
Doesn't really matter. You can have the best comp out there with a gazillion RAM and it will still crash. OK maybe not but I just wanted to point out that this game has the highest amount of crashes I've ever had.
eidospsogos
i don't think i've had the game crash on me before. i've had things get really screwy to the point i had to quit the program and re-load. but i don't think i've had an all out crash before. El Henko
i've never had the game crash. my only problem is this big fat enclave bug.
lukeiamyourdad
Look here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/starwarsknightsoftor/review-3.html 5th paragraph It seems these guys also have the technical problems I have. Even the 1.01 patch didn't solved much IMO.
