MoNKeY-150
I'm pretty far along in making my first map, but I've been held back a little bit because of one thing. I cant figure out how to rotate brushs. It's bugging me alot. I just cant figure it out i need to be able to do that. One more thing, I dont know how to make a sphere, I tried going to make cylinder, other, then sphere but nothing happens. Plz help. Thanks
SeriousMite
To rotate or flip a brush use the x/y/z flip/rotate buttons up along the top left side. These will only do 90 degree rotations though. You can use the free rotation button if you want to do less than that. It's underneath "help" and in between "cubic clip" and "free scaling". It will rotate different axis depending on what your 2d map view is set at. I don't find it all that useful though. I find it's easier just to use the clipper to cut a brush into an angle shape. It makes it easier to match things up and make sure they're flush. As for the sphere thing i'm not sure. It seems to be real finicky. Sometimes it will work for me, sometimes it won't. Try making a smaller sphere. It seem to work better when you make them small. I'm also working on my first map. I found an awesome tutorial page that's really been helping me a lot. MoNKeY-150
Thank you so much! I was really held back by only editing by clipping. But now I can make much, much more. And yes i know about that editing site, its the best i've seen so far.
