CrimsonTwilight
Hello, I've been reading up on this wonderful site for a little while now and finally had a question that needs answering. I am currently playing the XBOX version of KOTOR and have so far made 8/5 scout/sentinel and I'm just loving it. I went out and purchased the PC version of the game and plan on playing it again after I have completed it on the XBOX. My main hope is that I could have a much higher level Jedi and this 2/18 Path seems to be the best idea. It was vaugely discussed somewhere that you keep getting exp even though you don't level which is exactly what I was hoping, but I also would like to know if class specific feats and/or class specific free feats (such as implants 3 at lvl 8 for scouts) are available for a character who never gets to level 8 and becomes a jedi early. In otherwords, I want uncanny dodge and implants 3 for free, but if I become a jedi at level 2, will that negate my ability to get these for free? Uncanny dodge at all? If this isn't the case, anyone know of a save game or character editor that would allow me to "delevel" my scout who will probobly be near level 8 by the time I get to datooine? I plan to go somewhat wild with my second run through of the game (Sorry if this was posted before, I searched for awhile using *search* but couldn't find exactly what I was asking)
eidospsogos
nope. if you go 2 scout/ 18 jedi______ you will lose all level-gained feats for the scout. the only advantage to 2/18 is force powers, and in my opinion that's not enough to lose the level-gained feats. so you would lose 2 levels of implants and both uncanny dodge feats by going 2/18. and the only way i know of to de-level is through hex-editing. here's a link to a thread about how to do it: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=119851 of course i have an edited classpowergain.2da file which gives many more powers than you would gain otherwise. you just have to drop it in your override folder and i guarantee you every power for your particular alignment. CrimsonTwilight
Thank you, I will look into hex editing. Does hexing back to a certain level lose gained feats and stats? I'm going to guess no, otherwise you probably wouldn't have said anything. Thanks again!
eidospsogos
no once feats and powers are gained they are there for good. if you don't want to go through the trouble though, i took the time to edit the classpowergain.2da that distributes forcepowers per level so that it was possible to gain all 16 universal/core powers and all 14 alignment powers while still going the 8/12 route. you just drop it in your override folder, and it will award you enough forcepowers per 12 jedi levels to gain 30 powers. if you'd like i can email it to you. JediMeister
eidos, that file you have, does it matter what your starting class/jedi class is? if not i'm interested. PM me if you wouldn't mind e-mailing a copy to me too.
