SpaceButler14
Well, this'll be flamebait but I got my 9600 Pro for a bit more than that a while ago and I've really liked it. In Kotor I have some glitches that make me sometimes have to reload my game, (polygons get inverted and strecth accross the screen, usually part of someone's head), but that is a bioware not an ati problem imo. Aside from that it runs kotor well at 1024x768 on my p4 1.6, 512 ram and runs the far cry demo nicely (a mix of medium and high settings), though not at the high settings, but still with good eye-candy. I'm not sure though if the xp (?) line has replaced these. The Tyan non-xp card has built in software overclocking and monitoring like is in the xp, but isn't quite as dynamic I think. Only dynamically changes the fan speed. I wouldn't go for an nvidia card because as you've probably seen their dx9 stuff is pretty suspect at best. Anach
The FX5200 is probably the most bottom end, current gen card you can get, even the 9200 non pro, outperforms it. You can get a ATI 9600XT very cheap now. Even the PRO version instead if you want cheaper. If you cant afford that much, then get an ATI 9200 PRO.
