FX are crap, they lose in every comparison test with DX9 and image quality.

Is why ATI market leader.

Might sound like im an ATI camper, but i own both and sell both, just stating facts.

Until someone builds something to beat ATI, they are who ill stick with

Correction: The first FX cards were crap. The newer FX cards like FX5900 are good. Though the GeForce cards are probably a little more expensive than the Radeons.

Correction :p

The first FX cards were laughable. Then became passable.

The 9800XT still beats the FX5950 Ultra. More expensive, noisy and slower although not by much now and atleast it only takes one slot in your case now, instead of two. So due to all of the cons, i simply narrowed it down to crap as most people arent going for top of the line cards.

Things may change, but for my money, ATI wins at this stage.

your comparing a 9600 with a 5900, the 5900 is a high end card. Along the lines of a 9800, which would blow it away.

So it should perform better than a 9600. Though in general equivalent ATI cards outperform FX cards in 90% of tests.

I have a 9800 on this machine and i use the hardware mouse. That was only an issue with 9600.
