yeah, i'm interested in this also.

 

i want to create all-new items without working with their inherited properties (does that make sense?), and every time i modify the baseitems.2da, it all goes to hell. a nice tutorial would be great.

I added a base item, 92, to create a new type of armor with no maximum dexterity bonus. Very simple mod, all I did was copy row 43, Armor_Class_9. Only two changes, changed row label to 92, it must be unique, and changed dexbonus to -1. Then used as baseitem in an armor I was fiddling with.

Talks about baseitems on page 14. admitadly there are differences between NWN and KOTOR but there are a lot of similarities also. dexbonus was in a file called armor.2da in NWN. Between this document, SWAGs and testing you should be able to figure it out.
