Thomas_Dark Posted March 13, 2004 Posted March 13, 2004 Ok, so I'm kind of having trouble uninstalling the game. I installed it all the way, but it was having trouble so I needed to uninstall it. The problem is that I installed it on a removable hard drive and for some reason when I try to uninstall I get an error message that says: ------------------------------------------ Component Transfer Error Component: Cabs US File Group: File: Error: The parameter is incorrect. ------------------------------------------ I went into the registry and deleted a few of the things under KOTOR and another directory but it still gives me the message when I go to try and remove the program. Any suggestions? I'm out of ideas and feel like I could shoot my comp.
HertogJan Posted March 13, 2004 Posted March 13, 2004 First of all, I can't see your problem; why uninstall KOTOR??!! But serious, do you run Windows XP or...??? I'd recommend deleting the KOTOR folder entirely and then go to the software uninstallation screen in Windows and select to uninstall KOTOR. Most likely it will say something like "can't find KOTOR map, do you want to remove KOTOR from your software list?" Then just select Yes...
Thomas_Dark Posted March 16, 2004 Author Posted March 16, 2004 Hmm, so I tried what you said and I still get the same error message... I use XP and it's a fast comp so I shouldn't have had the trouble to begin with, but I had to uninstall because of difficulties. I've reformatted my portable hard drive (Which was what it was installed on) and it still shows up as being on my comp. Can anyone help me?
