Darth_Grandpa
I'm new here, and don't know if this has been touched on in the past or not. I have PhotoShop, sure, but I also have and prefer JASC PaintShop Pro (ver 8.0) for non-photo editing. Just a preference. I have tried to use PaintShop to edit .tga files only to have the finished product save at a slightly different size. (Like a 64kb file will save at 65kb) So when I try to use said retouched item in the game I get a crash. Has anyone successfully used PaintShop Pro to edit and save files for KOTOR? I've used it for other games no problem, but for whatever reason I can't w/ this one. Even if I open, then hit save without making any modifications whatsoever, it saves at that slightly altered size.

theBlind
I use PSP7 for my texturing. My best guess is this: in the save as dialog, click options and make sure you aren´t using any compression and the color depth is as high as possible(? - got mine at 24 bit) Hope this helps -theBlind
Darth_Grandpa
Thanks all. You know, I used to have psp7, but that was, shall we say, not really "mine"?? ANyway, bought, installed psp8. Not using compresion, even tried resizing the image up, making the changes, then resizing back down. In those cases the game won't crash, but the character (for example, I've changed the color of the default clothing for Juhani) the game won't crash, but the character is a semi-opaque green. I guess I'll have to wait until I get my hands on my PhotoShop disc...it's 5 hours away. (Work on one side of the state, live one the other, commute back on weekends. Left PhotoShop cd in desk at home) Thanks all..
juv3nal
are you maybe missing an alpha channel? i have no idea off the top of my head whether tga even saves an alpha channel, but that might be it.
