Putting custom items in Ebon Hawk containers?

I've been reading some of the tutorials from the sticky (thanks T7!), but a lot of the mods I look at either replace (overridden) an item or ask you to cheat for it.

 

Well, I'm about to play 4th KotOR (Female-Dark, my last combo if you will), and I thought it would be nice to add some fun to the game with custom weapons.

 

Is it possible to create a custom weapon, then place it in the Ebon Hawk containers (and maybe even the spice secret compartment)?

 

That way you wouldn't need to cheat, and you'd need to win up to at least the Ebon Hawk to get access to them (you could probably just as easily place them on Taris but I would prefer to have to do *some* work for them).

 

Everything might not be possible but the main goal here is to avoid cheating for items.

 

I can understand the tutorials on their own but for some reason I can't seem to use them together (man, I feel stupid now)

You'll find it's not too hard to do that. What you're looking for are the .utp files for the Ebon Hawk. I don't have the game on this PC but I mentioned this and this in a different thread that is similar to what you're attempting. Hope that's enough to get you started.
