clayton2
Can some one please tell me if an Intel® extreme graphics 3D video card would work considering all the games I have require geforce3 or better graphic cards but run with out a problem in multiplayer games haveing the graphics set to the max.I know that considering how graphic intense the game is I will have to turn the settings down but I have played games on Battlefield 1942 with 33 other people with an average ping about 130. Guest DarthMaulUK
Hi Firstly, you need to run a dxdiag to check yr card spec etc. To do this... click on start then click on run type in dxdiag <<(as typed here..no spaces) hit enter. If it asks you about digitally assigning, click yes This will bring up a Direct X Diag Tool. Select DISPLAY at the top. Now if your card says MX anywhere in it, then its probably a geforce 2 type card - either way its an old card. Put your down specs here and I will tell you what to do next. Guest DarthMaulUK
Not sure if your card can support the requirements for Galaxies with the shading. It should be ok. As for ping. Galaxies suffers from bad ping at times, especially in built up cities and this is true no matter how good your PC specs are. Ive played Galaxies on a top of the range Alienware PC with our 10 meg line and the frame rate dropped to 1-5 fps and ping went with it.
