He asked for mercy, and he wanted to repay himself. He was healed by Revan, but admiral Dodonna insisted that Malak would be placed on trial. And as the result, with no small help from Revan, Malak was to be left to the Jedi Council's hands. They decided that Malak would be placed in re-training under Revan. Slowly the corruption receded from Malak, and he was yet again knighted, and he was eager to help the Jedi cause. Soon, video footage was disovered where Revan led an attack on a Jedi Outpost. Revan was again in his robes of the Dark Side. Revan couldn't defend himself, he had been away when this had happened. Malak was in debt to Revan, and he set out to search for clues. Soon he discovered that this Revan was an impostor who wore a copy of Revan's Robe. Malak couldn't prove this, but he soon discovered that the impostor was on the temple of the Rakata.
