Win98SE crash situation.

[Krangla]

Problem:

GF locks up from time to time, but usually I can keep playing after a reboot. But in year 3 I just have to enter the vault and wait for it to crash with this error message:

"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

If problem persists, contact vendor."

 

My system:

Celeron 450MHz CPU

Turtle Beach Montego II Quadzilla soundcard

Matrox Milennium G550 graphics card

 

I´m running win98SE with DirectX 6.

I´ve installed the patch.

I´m running with 16 bit colors.

I´m using the launcher.

I´ve copied the game to the HD.

 

Any tips would be helpful at this point!
