PS2 Gamespy: "sort by"

So when I look at the gamespy screen in PS2 it has "ping" in white and everything else in black. And the O button says "Sort by". Does it sort buy what column is highlighted? And if so how do I change what it sorts by?

 

The PS2 gamespy interface is a bit confusing and it would be good if it had been documented in the manual or something.

Just look at the bottom of the screen and it will tell you what button to push to change sort.

 

Most of the controls/buttons are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

 

It's either square or circle.

I don't usually change the sort function.
