Guest mr_blonde30 Posted June 4, 2000 Share Posted June 4, 2000 As the title implies, when I go to create a new pilot, the application shuts down with that "illegal operation" message. I just got the game, so obviously I have no pilots as yet. Anybody have an idea? What might solve this problem is if somebody created a brand new pilot and sent me the file(?) for it, so I could just load it up and go from there until LucasArts sends me a reply. Thanks! Guest garyah99 Posted June 4, 2000 Share Posted June 4, 2000 "illegal application errors" usually mean there's something wrong with the program. When you go to run it for the first time you have to "load pilot". Ace Azzameen will be listed by default. You have to click the name, then click on "load pilot". You should get a message that says "The next time you start XWA, Ace Azzameen will be loaded" or something to that effect. If you are getting repeated crashes, try reinstalling the game (with the patch), make sure all of your hardware drivers are up to date, and if you still can;t get it to work, take it back to where you bought it from. ------------------ "I get by with a little help from my friends...."
