Guest Parias
Well, as of last night I finally got around to installing Ms. Talon's full mission pack (great stuff by the way, I love it!) and my system is still peachy and fine, so it should be just fine. Actually I've never really heard of a game or program doing that to your system unless it was a hardware tweaking program that you configured incorrectly or it's virus-infested and from a bad source. You shouldn't have any problems though. ------------------ -Parias ICQ 1293359 "I find your lack of pants disturbing..."
Guest Ms. Talon
Thanks for the kind words on our missions.Third party editing is NEVER approved by the publisher! Installing missions in XWA is very simple...and pose NO problems to the regular game files...even if you do it wrong, all it'll mean is that the new missions won't load. Our battlesets all have detailed and simple instructions on how to install them. If you have any probelema just e-mail me. ------------------ gototalon@home.com http://members.home.net/gototalon
Guest Cloud
Installing missions are easy? Not for me.... I need to know how to install missions so I can install that Yavin Battle when it comes out...
Guest Ms. Talon
Put the mission .tie files into the missions dir., then edit then missions.lst file, look at the way the missions are listed and repeat using consecutive numbers using notepad. In our battlesets we always include a fully edited missions.lst file, so all you need to do is drop them in. Thats it! ------------------ gototalon@home.com http://members.home.net/gototalon
Abolisher
I have some custom missions available at my site. I don't think many people know about it because only Ace Antilles and X-wing: Legacy have links to it. Check it out if interested. http://www8.50megs.com/abolisher/swhomepage.htm The main reason I replied here, is that all my missions include ReadMe files with detailed instructions on how to install missions. ------------------ If you strike me down, I shall become more decomposed than you could possibly imagine. Guest Scoundrel67
Go ahead and download the battlesets from Ms. Talon. A word of warning, though--the missions are not all that easy. You're a cruel vixen, Ms. Talon! ------------------ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Guest Darth Massacator
Abolisher's site is pretty cool. I am so "jonesing" for the Yavin project I've been linking my Tribes clan who are also X-Wing fanatics, to your site and Ace's.
Guest Toscan
I sure hope you dont fight at Yavin all alone like in the origonal X-wing!!! that would really suck. I can't wait for yavin to come out!
Guest OtanaMan
But what would all the extra ships do in the Yavin mission? I mean, it's not like the coms can target the exhaust port or destroy the laser towers. I hope they're not there just for escort.
