The problem is that I can't see beyond the central HUD(where you're heading),you know the one look like a circle...Anyway this circle was damn transparent when I first played the demo but when I bought the game,it became a black thing which shows nothing,only when it lockes on a target it becomes grey but still doesn't showing the target... What can I do?I'd recently reinstalled the game and used the latest patch...I've almost tried every key to see if it changes anything... Guest Ying-Yang Posted July 15, 2000 Share Posted July 15, 2000 I'm using 3dfx Voodoo 3000 and while I'm writing this message I'm also downloading it's latest drivers now.I'm playing the game with 1024*768 res. and also with highest standart of graphics available. I'm thinking the same way with you it must something wrong with the card or drivers...When I open the directx setup (Hardware Configuration in the launcher menu) it indicates that there are some files missing.Even if I copy them from the CD it doesn't look to be affected. I'm using 16 bit color depth and I'm seeing some bad textures while playing with software rendering... I've got Directx version 7.0a latest.. Guest Ying-Yang Posted July 16, 2000 Share Posted July 16, 2000 Knight and garyah thanx for the sites you offered me to visit,but I recently understood that the problem is not caused by a driver file or bug.I think that it's in the game itself.If only I knew how to take a screenshot (I had tried the F12 key) I could send you what kind of situation I'm in. That HUD is a part of the original game I mean it's not bad graphics or something to do with the drivers. I'm thinking that way because after I installed the latest drivers for my voodoo card and directx,nothing seemed to change at all...Anyway I'll learn how to take those photos and send them to you to have a better idea of the problem(It may not be a problem at all eheh) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got the screenies and these are my comments: Screenie 1: Never seen a targeting reticle like that before Screenie 2: Same as 1 Screenie 3: Now thats the good old reticle i know and love Screenie 4: This is what the full game should look like. I dont know what the problem is and all i can suggest is turning it down to 640*480 with all the options deselected in general and hardware menus. Looking at all the screenies i spotted that something appears to be wrong with the top left and top center in all of them except the one from the demo. Have you checked LA Support for these problems?
