tk102
I came across this bit of info some readers may find interesting. From Xbox-saves.com: http://www.xbox-saves.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=3301&hl=kotor&s= VoxAngel said Editing the erf file will screw up your game. That file is a sort of index used by the game to find various files. The files you're looking for are in the .bif and .rim files. For example: .uti = items .utc = creature/character .utp = placeables .dlg = dialog .2da = 2da array files which control many aspects of the game. You can edit these with KotOR Tool, found here: http://kotortool.home.comcast.net/index.html This program can view/extract/edit just about any file in the game. It's made for the PC version, but it's mostly compatible with the xbox files - it may crash from time to time, but overall, it's the program to have if you want to edit this game. You'll need to use the files from the game disc, not the cache. Once your files are edited, you need to create an override folder on your xbox, like so: E:/TDATA/4c410003/Override/ Put your edited files in this folder and run your game. You can even run custom scripts and many PC mods from this folder. It's also a good idea to delete all cache files when testing, or the game will look for data there and may bypass your altered files. If you have any other questions let me know, I've been editing this game since last March. We'll see what we can do regarding the that pesky ERF business. tk102
You don't happen to own an Xbox do you Fred?
Fred Tetra
I do... It's how I got interested in the whole idea of modfying the game in the first place, before I knew there'd be a PC version.
tk102
Hmm.... Say, if you've got any insite into creating .sig files for ERF files (see this) let me know. I'll probably try brute force otherwise.
