Need help for the original KOTOR

I just got KOTOR 1 about a week ago (I know I'm deprived) and I am now eagerly waiting for February (no xbox) but anyway I have a question after you get off the leviathen is your inventory emptied because I used HK47 as my chosen character and when I looked at my inventory on the Ebon Hawk none of the items I had before going through the leviathan and the equiptment on me was missing too. What happened?

 

EDIT: Thanks I feel really stupid now I had to go back to a previous save but I got all the stuff back

You went through the entire Leviathan without getting your stuff back? Wow. Right where you release yourself, Carth, and Bastila, there's another room right nearby where you can retrieve all your equipment from a locker.
