Is the camp will still be there after I defend koona from the mercenaries so I can come back to dantoine and upgrade my lightsaber...

Yes....

 

You do know that you can upgrade the lightsaber at any workbench, or use T3-M4 as well. In addition you can create your own lightsaber upgrades, item drops are random in the game, if you want to assure yourself of getting the best lightsaber upgrades you are better off creating them yourself

What Skill is most important to create Lightsaber Upgrades?

The lightsaber components vary in terms of abilities needed to create them.

 

What I did was make Bao Dur my upgrade character on raised his Security, Repair, Computer Use & Awareness skills way up. You can also equip items/belts/packages that raise those levels +1, +2, +3, etc.

 

Here is the thing no one skill is exclusive in the use of creating lightsaber components, examples below:

 

The three best lenses that you can create are:

 

Ossus Dueling Lens

Pontite Lens

Enhanced Byrothsis Lens

 

Prerequisites to create each one are

 

Ossus Dueling Lens- 25 Treat Injury

Pontite Lens- 27 Awareness

Enhanced Byrothsis Lens- 29 Awareness

 

Lightsaber Cells- best two are

Telgorn Jolt Cell Mark III- 27 Demolitions

Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell- 29 Computer Use

 

What I did was give my main character a 6 in repair, made Bao Dur the person with the max Computer Use, Repair, Demolitions & Security and then pumped up Mandalore's Treat Injury and Awareness...so no matter which component I wanted to craft I had someone with at least one of the Prerequisite skills at 35+
