IRC hatch and blast doors?

in the mission where u destroy the IRC, they say open the hatch doors, fly in and fire a torpedo at the energy generator.....

 

they say the hatch door is red/white.....but I can't find it.....i flown really close to the station but can't see it anywhere(even in the combat sim)....what am i doing wrong? can anyone show me what the blast door/hatch looks like.....

 

I can comlete the mission without blowing up the hatch....but i would like to do the missin properly

Well, <font color="red">X</font> marks the spot !

 

The blast door has a red X across it. The easiest way to find it is to target the IRC and then cycle through the target components.

When you reach the hatch, a green box should appear around it. A flyby inspection shouldreveal you the spot.
