Vitani
i haven't begun to experiment with KOTOR2 much yet, but i'm wondering how hard it would be to take the regular game play coding and convert it to the "turret mode" coding? cause when you're using the turrets and stuff, you're selecting targets and then hitting attack or some kind of special attack, you're just straight shooting, wether you're actualy hitting them or not. now, the two modes (third person rpg and first person fps) might use completely different sets of coding and just use the same graphics engine, or, its just a different mode where you can aim freely and as long as you hit a enemy, no matter where, it registers as a successful attack. this also brings another point, of possibly being able to convert swoop racing to something more along the lines of pod racing, where you actualy ahve to steer around a large track. i'll check out the coding when i get the chance, but if anyone else already has info on this or just some advice/ideas, feel free to post
FunSolo
hmm.. what i would like to see (more than your idea) is another camera angle.. like it was in NWN. cause im about to get tired of the 3rd person view as well.
Vitani
well a fps mode would have to use a firstperson perspective, cause it'd be too hard to take the fps turrent code and make it so you can fight in third person but more on what you're talking about i think, it shouldn't be too hard to modify what ever is controlling the current camera angles, like how you can only look up and down and stuff so much before it stops you, cause its prolly just a value defining min/max of the pitch/yaw and stuff
FunSolo
im not good at this, but if u can find something for a workaround like that it would be cool and i think im not the only one
