Bubbles
Is there a simple way to replace the PC head using KotOR Tool? In TSL, I'm trying to replace the PC head with one of the twin sun Twi'Leks.
Mav
First you need to find out what PC model you are using then, extract the appearence.2da file using KT and then you need to edit the head model of your PC to point to whatever the head model row is of the Twi'lek of which you desire. Bubbles
Gracias, señor. Edit: Rrrrrriight, so I'm a big idiot that needs to be spoonfed 1) which column is for 'head' 2) which row is for the twin suns? I'm lookin for the one with red markings, not orange. Mav
1) The column for head is called "normalhead" and the number in there refers to the number of the row in heads.2da 2) I THINK but I'm not sure I'm not the best appearence/heads.2da editor but I think that the one you are looking for in row 184, if it isn't try 185, good luck. Bubbles
Oh, one more thing, How do I extract the appearance.2da file?
Mav
In KotOR Tool click BIFs-->2da.bif-->2d Array-->appearence.2da and the click the extract button
Bubbles
Ok, still having some troubles with this I couldn't figure out which jedi_white_fem head was the blonde caucasian, so I just changed them all to 184. This turned me into a big green dragon thing. It also replaced all the models in the game with stuff like blaster turrets, republic officers, and etc. So... help meeeeee. I'll give you a cookie. Bubbles
Hmmm... is it even possible to only have a head, without the body?
Mav
I'm perplexed, because I don't see how editing the appearence.2da can change so many models, sorry I really wish I could help you, but I really haven't looked into the appearence.2da file or heads.2da file that much. Juriel
The file you want is heads.2da... And the player heads are named a combination of letters, like PFHA01. Just scan down, replace the first tab's string with another head model (like twilek_f) and the texture tabs with corresponding ones (like Twilek_f05). Bubbles
But is it possible to have a Twi'Lek head without the body, Juriel? Wouldn't the headtail things screw it up?
Juriel
Twilek head, jedi girl body Sure, the tentacles might clip through bulkier armors - I haven't tested it. But they're just fixtures of the head model (that stay still and stretch to accommodate its movement).
Bubbles
Well, right on! Thanks.
Damar Stiehl
What about heads that have **** in their texture column, like Zherron's head for example? Just curious...
