dedicated server with forcemod III

if i start a dedicated internet server this yellow box opens and nothing happens.

just sending heartbeat to masterjk3.ravensoft.com and sometimes hitch warning.

i want to join the game on the same comp.

if i start the game new (don't change the other yellow box) the server just appears in local though i said internet.

 

please help me!

The yellow box as you call it, is the dedicated server window. That's what's supposed to happen when you start a server. People who have the IP can connect to it, and you can type "status" in the window to see who's in there.

 

Of course this assumes you put in the proper settings to your server.cfg file. And if you're not sure about that, you've come to the right forum!

i want to create a dedicated server which is sometimes online. i want to join on the same comp.

is that actually possible?

 

do i have to write something in the server box to start the game?

do i have to install the 1.01 dedicated server?

by the way it has to run with forcemod III.
