Cloud333
I was wondering how to combine parts of different models togather since its fairly faster then starting from scratch or making *major* changes to a already made model. I cut up the mesh in the places where I needed to add the new peices. Then I cut out the corresponding peices and moved them all togather. Also I left all the bones and handlers in place and removed the extra ones from the imported models. It seems I would be done but I am having trouble sticking the mesh togather. Does anyone know the next step or have any advice?
cchargin
Hello, Bones? Are you working on a body model? Changing the number of vertices in a body model will most likely crash the game. This is due to a hack that I had to do in order to import/export body models. To attach 1 mesh to another: 1) select the mesh you want to add to 2) click on the "modify" pane 3) right click on the editable mesh entry in the stack and choose "collapse all" 4) in the modify pane click "attach" 5) now select the mesh you want to add 6) there may be a pop-up asking what to do about material IDs. Choose your option and continue
Cloud333
Thanks!, and yea its a body model. I have combined the peices but I have no idea on how to assign them to the already existing bones so they have animations. Could anyone offer some insight on this?
