Dialogs and Voice files

I have been going crazy trying to figure out the dialogs and corresponding voice files! Sometimes there doesn’t seem to be any logic at all!

Take this example:

I look at a dialog file named dezanti.dlg. In that dlg file there are referenced voiced files ranging from "401dezanti001” up to something like "401dezanti023".

Now when looking in “StreamVoice\401\DEZANTI\” I find these files 401DEZANTI005, 401DEZANTI009.wav, 401DEZANTI021.wav401DEZANTI023.wav. These files are for Mira, the rest of them are nowhere to be seen.

So where does the files for the bounty hunters come from?

I have been looking everywhere with no luck.

This scenario is the same for a lot of other dialogs too. You will find some of the voice files where you would expect to find them but the rest are nowhere.

Anybody got an idea on what’s going on? It drives me nuts when I can’t figure what is happening :swear:

The missing voices are alien. Those are stored in the AVO folder. I think the field 'AlienRaceOwner' in the dialog file refers to an entry in alienvo.2da. In this case, it is a 7, the Duro voice files. To change which specific voice file for this race should be played, edit the 'Emotion' field.
