Amazian
While I was at the GDC I got to speak with one of the employees from Pandemic (unfortunately he didn't have a business card, he was the lead audio guy). While talking with him I mentioned that my biggest gripe with Battlefront on the PC was the FPS Cap. He said that a patch is being worked on to remove the FPS Cap and that it's actually already done internally, but Pandemic's testing team still needs to run it through, and then they have to send it off to Lucas Arts testing team before they can push it as a downloadable patch. He said it could take a couple of months. I also asked him if there were working on Battlefront 2 or an expansion following Episode III. He had one of those secretive smiles on and said he couldn't comment on it, but said that they'd see how well Episode III went. I'm not sure if there's a buyable expansion in the works, but maybe some additional downloadable content isn't far fetched.
Kramerika
That's great! Unlocked FPS will help, but what about in-game admin? With no way to control the server remotely, it's doubtful that we will be able to justify continuing on with our server long term and that we would consider hosting a server for any expansion pack or sequel. It's not practical to have to touch the server desktop to admin a server, and almost every online mulitplayer FPS game out there (outside of this one) has a method to admin remotely. I don't understand the reasoning in ignoring the importance of this on release, much less two patches later.
