infernox
well i made a weapons pack and i have a saber, implant, robe, wristlauncher, and a blaster but for some reason it won't let me use the blaster, it says i need the weapon profiency-blaster pistol, but it isn't in the properties list so i cant get rid of it so i gave me robe bonus feat weapon profiency- blaster pistol still don't work(it worked for wristlauncher). and i have tried several things but it just won't work.( i want it to work without requiring any feats)
Xcom
Blasters have this proficiency "hardcoded" in baseitems.2da. You'll need to edit that file if you want to get rid of it. Look for row number 12 (blaster pistol) and "reqfeat01" column. so i gave me robe bonus feat weapon profiency- blaster pistol still don't work(it worked for wristlauncher). Hmm. it should have worked... It could happen that you loaded the savegame with items already present in player's inventory after making the changes to the uti files. In this case the changes won't take effect. In any case, try breaking your items down in the workbench and spawning new ones using "giveitem" cheat. Some feats, such as Stealth Run, don't work if added as an item property for some reason. I don't know if the weapon proficiency feats belong to this group as well, but it could be worth keeping in mind. In either case, putting proficiency feats on items could probably cause a bit of inconvenience if the blasters are loaded before the robe while the player inventory is loaded when making area transitions or loading savegames. The blasters would probably be unequipped since the proficiency didn't exist yet.
