Guest Delta Z
Greetings, Community. Ive been a "lurker" for many moons, however, I've finally had to suck it up and ask those wiser than I for help. I cannot find this answer in the archives(or i cannot seem to access it). I cannot seem to save the shuttle full of board members. I realize that i cannot possible destroy all of the hurrim (sp?) and they objective is just to keep them away from the shuttle. Therein lies the prob. I cannot seem to do that. My wingman is useless, Her reaction time , even when i order her to stay in formation so she doesn't stray too far, is just too slow. I've tried staying 1.5 klicks and "escorting" the shuttle, but the hurrim just keep destroying it. Any ideas? Thanks. Guest Marril
I can beat this mission in my sleep, so here goes: What you do is use the missiles to keep the Hurrim away from the shuttle. You don't need to blow them all up, just keep 'em away. In the second area, the one with the second Hurrim attack, you just have to go after the big ship (I think it's a Muurian, been a long time since I flew this mission), blow it to Sokar, and the rest of the Preybirds'll leave your shuttle alone. PS, your kill # for Preybirds'll go through the roof after this mission if you decide to kill them all. (I did... ugh, it's like 2 squadrons out there...) Guest Delta Z
Thanks, Marril. I'll give it a whirl... Sometimes the simplest missions can be a Waterloo.
Guest garyah99
Something else you can try... When you launch from the Liberty, don't hyper immdediately to the first battle area. Funny thing about this mission...the Hurrim don't show up til about 20 seconds after you do, but the shuttle keeps moving. In other words, if you delay your hyper in, the shuttle will be much closer to it's hyper point when the Hurrim arrive and you will have a much better chance of getting it to safety. Don't delay your hyper to the second area though, the Hurrim won't wait for you there!
Guest Delta Z
Thank you both for your assistance. I used a ombination of the tactics that y'all reccommended and beat the mission. Again, thanks. -Delta Z ------------------ Bachelor's degree? got that--now what?
