Slayne
Alrighty. I've been digging around through the threads for a couple pages now, went through the stickies. Either I've just missed it, all together possible, or it isn't here (I'm leaning more towards I missed it) How difficult is it to swap a npc model with another? I've seen it done in previous mods, but I never quite figured out what they did other then renaming the actual .mdl file. Is there another file to edit or something? Simply renaming a file and it looking for the texture yielded me a talking head of a Handmaiden. Which while all together amusing, wasn't quite what I was looking for. If anyone could point me towards a tutorial or thread with the information, I would be appreciative.
Achilles
This should get you started. If you need to reference it again, you can find it in the Do you Want to mod SW-KotOR? Then Start here sticky in the 2da section.
Slayne
Knew there was a link somewhere Thanks for the reference. Now to see if I can make heads or tells of it in terms of changing one npc model for another npc model. I'd imagine it wouldn't be all to different from that of exchanging the pc's model. No different at all. The game just does whatever that file tells it to do (when it comes to models).
Slayne
Yes, I see. Took some tinkering but I did figure it out. I was going about it the right way, from the examples I was using from other mods, but I was using the wrong references to get the results I wanted. Which kinda put me at a standstill. The link you provided helped spark some ideas on what I was doing wrong, which helped solve my problem. Thanks.
