I`m not very good at editing programms. So, has anyone a simple idea, how to change fighter assignement in existing / official missions ?

(E.g. change all Y - Wings into B - Wings.)

I dunno, I'm a newbie at that suff too. Well, you might try selecting the craft in question and changing it by the menus (if you're using ALLIeD). As long as it's not player craft, it should in theory be okay (can make a lot of missions easier, too). Anyway, I'm not a fan of editing existing missions.

"And it came to pass that the Wrath of Oingo Boingo fell upon the land. And Oingo Boingo cried out and said, "Behold, I have a wrath and I have fallen out upon your land." And the villagers of the land were frightened and proclaimed to Oingo Boing, "Behold, we are frightened, because you have a wrath and have fell upon our land." And Oingo Boingo answered to them, "Its because of you being frightened because of my wrath and falling out upon your land, that I shall destroy you." And Oingo Boingo did so. And it was NOT good, for all those who did see the great Oingo Boingo fell to his wrath."

Why is it that whenever someone says SOL I am always in trouble... whether it be Standards of Learning or (the other version). I'm always screwed.

Swap around the .opt files etc.

c:\pro~files\lucasarts\x-wing.....\Flightmodels. Swap the opt names by cut and paste x-wing to desktop, rename it to y-wing, rename y-wing to x-wing, cut and paste xwing (now y-wing) to desktop. Try the above 1st. If having trouble still go into shiplist.txt and swap species numbers for x-w and y-w.
