susvaine
I think it kind of sucks that whenever Visas is wearing a robe, she always looks the same as she does with normal "clothing" on. I'd like to know if there's an easy way to change that so robes show up on Visas.
stoffe
I think it kind of sucks that whenever Visas is wearing a robe, she always looks the same as she does with normal "clothing" on. I'd like to know if there's an easy way to change that so robes show up on Visas. Open appearance.2da with KotorTool and go to line 457. The label for this line should be Party_NPC_Visas. On this line, go to the modeli column and change the value there to PFBIM. To the right find the texi column and change its value to PFBI. Next find the modeln column and change the value there to PFBNM. Find the texn column next to it and change that value to PFBN. Then save your modified appearance.2da in your Override folder. These changes will make the Jedi and Jedi Master robes appear on Visas like on other female characters. It will look a bit odd with some robes though since the collar part from her standard outfit is part of her head model and will appear clipped onto the neck section of any robes you equip her with. On dark robes it isn't as noticable. * * * If you don't know how to do any of this and have no interest to learn, there may be some mod that does these changes to the Jedi and Jedi Master Robes for Visas appearance, but I am not aware of any. Perhaps someone else knows... If you can't find any other mod that does this more directly, you can download the Visas Robe mod linked to in my signature. While it adds a new reskinned Jedi robe for Visas to the game, it also makes all the other standard Jedi robes appear properly on her as a side-effect. The Master robes (those with jackboots and a thicker bathrobe) however will still show up as her default leather dress and not with their proper appearance with that mod. susvaine
That works nearly perfectly; however whenever I donn Gray Jedi Robes, the brown Jedi Robes show. Other than that, it works great. Thanks again for the help.
SaeseeJim
what about making a mod that allows you to take of her mask so you can see her eyeless face.
Achilles
You would have to retexture her head to that there is actually something to see. Thus far no one has skinned a new head for her. Not sure how many people with the talent to make such a thing consider it a priority.
susvaine
I'm actually something of a retexturer myself. I'm very familiar with modding for a game called Morrowind so I can texture pretty well and I can model quasi-decently... nothing spectacular though. But I DON'T know how to extract a texture from Kotor2... could someone point me in the right direction? BTW what's the format, is it .tga? Anyway, I'll see if I can retexture it... though it'd look so weird seeing her without her viel. Is her viel by any chance alpha-mapped? If so I can make it transparent... Or maybe I'd have to just find a default head that the game comes with that's close to the same shape as Visas, then rearrange some thigns and apply Visas' texture to the head, and make the eyes just covered in skin or perhaps I'd make em like darkened out or something. Visas head model is P_VisasH.mdl and P_VisasH.mdx, found with KotorTool in BIFs --> Models.bif --> Aurora Model for the MDL file and BIFs --> Models.bif -->mdx for the MDX file. Her head texture is P_VisasH01.tpc, which you can find in ERFs --> TexturePacks --> swpc_tex_tpa.erf --> P with KotorTool. When you extract the texture you can convert it to TGA format. However, Visas head is only modelled about half-way up. There is nothing beneath the veil on the parts of her head covered by it. She'd probably look pretty strange by human standards if you remove the veil anyway though. No eyes, no hair and no teeth.

Sounds good. I for one would like to see an alternative to the dishtowel-draped-over-the-head thing. Be sure to read this before you get started.
