TheGreenGoblin
Sorry for the bother, but I've been trying to get saber hilts into KoTOR, primarily some of the ones I've downloaded for KoTOR II, but upon dropping the file into KoTOR's override menu the game promptly kicked my butt when I tried to load it and crashed, is there some kind of trick or something to get it to work in KoTOR? Again, I'm not adept at all in modding or programming, so if it can't be done just say so. Just so you know, I'm specifically trying to get the Darth Vader's Lightsaber hilt, Luke Skywalker's RoTJ Hilt, and Mace Windu's Hilt from pcgamemods under KoTOR II. I'm also not asking anyone to mod these for me, as I understand you can't do so without the author's permission. Thanks in advance.
Achilles
You have to run the models through MDLOps, import them into max or gmax, import a KotOR I saber and rig the new hilt. KotOR models will crash TSL and vice versa due to some data inconsistencies. The process isn't that hard, but it is a tab bit tedious.

TheGreenGoblin
Sorry to be a bother again, is there a way I can assign certain hilt models to certain saber colors for something that is designed to merely replace all of them, for example: http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/5553.html
Achilles
That lightsaber hilt is a retexture of the default game hilt, not a new model, hence how he was able to "replace" all the sabers with only one file. To make a hilt with a non-changeable blade color, only rig the hilt for that color blade. Careful with it in the workbench though. If you remove the color crystal from the saber, you could loose the model. I hope the short answer helps. Let us know if you need more detail.
