Nadman
okay, been reading up on how to change and add planets, making new modules using the current ingame and all that stuff, but i got more questions then answers so here goes First off, there are no real level editor released for either KOTOR or TSL correct? (besides KOTOR Tool) Second off, is there a way to exstract a level, like a character model can be exstracted? I.E: The prologue model of the Ebon Hawk, both in and out, and have it added into a 3D program (3ds for my sake) ? Not talking about adding it in again, but a base model would be good to have, as im currently trying to model a 3D version of the Ebon Hawk for some animations (with large booms!) Thx in advance. cry_of_paine
I think that this info on the Kotor Tool site might be what you're looking for. http://kotortool.home.comcast.net/assembling_maps.htm
Archon II
You can edit modules: use Kotor Tool to extract them, then convert them to ascii formated .mdl files with MdLops, and then use GMax or 3ds Max with the NWN Plugin to open them. I know, it's insane. Here are some key points: 1. Modules (I.E. 802dro) are seperated into something like 15 different .mdl files. 2. You can't edit the .mdl files and get them to work in Kotor. They loose lighting and we haven't been able to fix this problem as of yet. 3. You can open the .mdl files, with the textures, and lets say the Ebon Hawk, and make .avi animations. I've been doing that for the M4-78 intro movies. For example, I extracted the landing pad module for M4-78 (801dro) and I'm animating the Ebon Hawk to land on it. If you have any other questions, you can PM me about animations.
