WHEN the romantic relationship goes under, that ruins a friendship too. So even if you DO manage to stay friends, that stuff haunts both of you. It's better not to risk ruining a friendship that way. I've dated a person that was a close friend before we started and it messed us up for a few months. It was last september we broke up and we just now getting back to normal with each other.
