I could elaborate, but... I didn't mind the artwork until Empire's End, personally, although the psychadelic colours were a bit off-putting (methinks it would have worked better in black & white). They're required to get the continuity, yeah, but the writing quality in Empire's End sucks. Since when does Palpy throw hissy fits and play at being a melodramatic Super Villain? Actually, if you can get the full-cast audio versions via books-on-tape, I'd recommend it, there're a few added scenes and funny lines. How I got here is a long and unpleasant story.
