Flying Beastie
Quick, I'm doing a class project on Day of the Triffids, and I need to know what sort of interceptors the USSR would've been using in the 1940s. Thanks in advance. ------------------ It's like I always say: When the going gets tough, the tough . . . switch to artillery.

The Il-2 was in it's prime I suppose. They also had a homebred version of the US P-39 Aircobra too. And they used a bunch of stuff made by Yakolev (i think that was the company name) that bore the YaK designation. I don't remember any of the numbers for those. Flying Beastie
Thanks Nute, I owe you. I just wanted to be a pedant about the craft that would have destroyed Palanguez' jet (and thus started the whole triffid invasion). I thought: 'pedant' + 'military history' = 'Nute' ------------------ It's like I always say: When the going gets tough, the tough . . . switch to artillery.
