HolisticGod
All, I've been playing a lot of one on one campaigns with a buddy of mine and, among the multitude of problems in this game, we've stumbled upon one that's more irritating than any other. In a land battle, in particular, the "the enemy is on the run" threshold, which reveals the map, is set ridiculously low. Essentially, any full garrison seems to trigger it within one minute no matter how heavy the invasion force is. This is particularly glaring on planets were the attacker does not begin in control of a reinforcement point. Is it possible, in the XML or anywhere else, to either increase the threshold for the event triggering or eliminate it altogether? We have no trouble with this silly unit hunting nonsense, as we've played other games together for years, and the lack of stealth and reconnaissance really limits the game tactically. Rhedd-5
Yes. It's in GAMECONSTANTS.XML. Search for the line: <Tactical_Overrun_Multiple> Raising it to a higher number (than 3.0, which is default), should do what you want. I haven't tested it, but that should be what you're looking for. Have fun!
