I was curious about whether this idea is possible.

 

The whole idea of the mod is to make it so that your lightsaber blade color darkens, remains neutral, or lightens based on your alignment score.

Example: A jedi using a blue colored lightsaber blade will have a neutral(regular) blue colored blade when alignment score is between 25 and 75. Below 25 the blade will become a dark navy blue to show his dark side alignment while a score above 75 will make the blade color a light "ice" or "sky" blue to show the jedi's dedication to the light side.

 

edit: I would like this to be a tied in function of the "personal" lightsaber crystal you get on Dantooine.

 

I hope this will work cause I think this would be a very cool mod. Though I would probably need help reskinning the lightsaber blade colors (cause I suck at it).

Allthough i havent began modding yet from what i've read you MAY be able to do this. I dont know what or were these files will be stored so sorry if this is of no help to you.

 

When your allignment changes so does your portrait and characters appearance. By looking at what causes this to change, in im presuming the scripts, you may be able to create one simillar for lightsaber colours.

The tricky thing about doing that is that you would have to replace the whole saber, not just the blade. Theoretically it could be done with a custom heartbeat script, but you would lose any other crystals you have equipped in the lightsaber when it is replaced.
